In April the Welsh Government published Understanding: a suicide prevention and self-harm strategy, which aims to reduce the rates of suicide, improve access to support, services and outcomes for those affected by suicide and self-harm.  In our latest policy briefing we review the ambitious vision of the strategy to create a more compassionate, holistic, person-centred approach to suicide prevention and self-harm reduction and explore what this means for the rights of all children and young people.
