Professional Development and Training at Children in Wales has worked with Cardiff Council for over six years, developing a strong relationship with the teams there. When a need for new training arises across services, we are able to respond flexibly to emerging themes and their workforce’s priorities.

The majority of sessions are delivered face to face and cover a wide range of topics including ACE and Trauma, Child Development, Teenage Development and Engagement, Supporting LGBTQ+ Young People including ages 5 to 12, Young People’s Mental Health and Wellbeing, Anxiety, Knife Crime, Eating Disorders, Digital Safeguarding, CSE and CCE, Neglect, Managing Cultural Differences, ADHD for Practitioners, Engaging with Parents who are Difficult to Engage, Working with Uncooperative and Hostile Adults, Disguised Compliance and Having Difficult Conversations.

The Professional Development and Training team at Children in Wales have developed a trusted relationship with the team and Cardiff Council and we consistently receive high praise on the delivery style of our trainers.

Following recent LGBTQ training, we received the below:

“We are consistently getting such excellent feedback about the Children in Wales training team.”
