We are currently inviting nominations from Members to join the Children in Wales Trustee Board and/or the Policy Council, to take office from the AGM in October 2023.
In May 2023, the UK and devolved governments will attend an examination by the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child on their progress in implementing the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. This will result in a series of recommendations (Concluding Observations) expected in June 2023.

We have also collaborated with other UK child rights alliances to publish UK-wide reports (January 2021 and 2023) and engaged with the United Nations on our reports through the Pre-Session stage (February 2023)
State of Children’s Rights in Wales: Alternative country specific report on the situation of children’s rights as defined under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC)

Welsh Government has developed guidance for schools around how and what to teach 14 to 16 year olds. This is an opportunity for young people to take part in a short survey and express their views on the 14 – 16 learning. The deadline for this is 8th May 2024.
