Background & Content

We need your help! Children in Wales are moving away from old practices to a more digital way of working with young people and professionals.

We are looking for more young people (aged 14-25) to give input into the project. This might be to create content for the website, make sure the positive side of the internet and digital tools are spoken about and anything else linked to digital the young people believe is important. This will help us tell more young people about what Children in Wales do to support children and young people across Wales.

So far, the group has helped with a change to our branding and with our new website. The group gave their opinions about what was needed, what would work, what wouldn't and much more to give us a great new brand and website.

Children in Wales is the national umbrella organisation for voluntary, statutory and professional organisations who work with children and young people in Wales.

How the organisation will benefit

The project will:

Ensure we use digital tools effectively to engage with children and young people across Wales

  • Guide us about what content we should post on our new website
  • Create new content to go on the website
  • Make sure the voice of children and young people is heard and that this guides the direction of our work

How you will benefit

You will benefit by:

  • Gaining valuable experience within a national charity
  • Developing your communication, listening, planning and analytical skills
  • Free training. You will have the opportunity to access a selection of Children in Wales’ training courses (if you wish to)
  • Work with a number of young people from across Wales along with staff from Children in Wales
  • The opportunity to meet (virtually) other young people

Skills/experience required

  • No experience required
  • We are simply looking for enthusiastic young people with an interest in all things digital.
