Neurodiversity Awareness in Children and Young People

One-day course This course is designed to equip frontline staff who engage with children and young people with a comprehensive understanding of neurodiversity. It seeks to foster an appreciation of the various manifestations of neurodiversity that influence the assessment and diagnosis of these individuals, as well as to highlight the global risks associated with neurodiversity. The trainer encourages participants to adopt a holistic perspective, enabling them to view the child or young person in their entirety, thereby enhancing collaboration with other services. The course targets frontline staff who work with neurodivergent children, young people, and their families, aiming to enhance their skills and knowledge. This enhancement is intended to boost their confidence in identifying, connecting with, supporting, and directing these children, young people, and their families towards resources that can improve overall family outcomes.
