Children in Wales has launched a reimagined membership offer designed to help organisations and professionals across Wales learn, connect and influence.

The updated membership brings together professional development, sector connections and opportunities to help shape policy and practice for babies, children and young people.

The refreshed offer has been developed to better support those working across the children’s sector in Wales, with benefits designed to strengthen knowledge, raise visibility and build a stronger collective voice.

“Our new Children in Wales Membership is about bringing people together around a shared commitment to improving the lives of babies, children and young people across Wales. We want members to feel informed, connected and empowered to shape the policies and practice that affect the communities they work with every day.”
- Hugh Russell, CEO

Members will benefit from exclusive savings on training, events and publications, alongside priority access to Children in Wales’ National Conference and other flagship events. They will also be able to take part in consultations, working groups and specialist networks that help influence policy and practice across Wales.

The membership offer includes discounted rates on professional development courses and training, free Lunch and Learn webinars and priority booking for events including the National Conference and the Young Wales Summit. Members will also receive a fortnightly email with sector updates, access free job and news listings in newsletters and have opportunities to feature in Children in Wales’ quarterly magazine and on social media.

“We have shaped the membership to reflect what matters most to our sector, practical support, meaningful connections and opportunities to be heard. We want every member to feel they are part of a strong national network that helps them grow their impact and showcase the vital work they do.”
- Natasha Belding, Communications & Membership Manager

Members can also join the Communications Network, which will meet quarterly to share updates and collaborate on sector campaigns, as well as specialist networks such as the Children’s Rights in Early Years Network and the Children’s Research Network. There will also be opportunities to contribute to pilots and campaigns that drive real change.

Alongside this, the membership provides specialist support including safeguarding reviews, youth engagement opportunities and expert guidance to strengthen participation and inclusion.

The Children in Wales Membership is designed for those who want to be part of a network united by shared values and a commitment to improving the lives of babies, children and young people across Wales.
