Tickets are now on general release for the 2026 Children in Wales Annual Conference, Voices in Action: Putting Participation at the Heart of Change. The conference will take place on 25 March 2026 at the SPARK Building, Cardiff, bringing together professionals, policymakers, practitioners and young people from across Wales.
Focused on participation, lived experience and improving outcomes for babies, children and young people, the day will provide space for learning, reflection and collective action.
The conference will open with an address from our CEO, Hugh Russell, followed by a keynote from Professor Laura Lundy, a leading authority on children’s rights and participation. Her address will explore how children’s voices can be meaningfully embedded in decision-making, with delegates also able to engage directly through a dedicated Q&A session.
The programme includes a wide range of workshops and showcases. We will be joined by Cardiff University’s Babylab, Live Music Now, our ALN Ambassadors and a collaborative World Café. Parents Connect Wales will showcase a creative art-based consultation approach, while parents from Voice4Bettws will share their parent led ALN training for professionals. There will also be an address from Jan Pickles OBE, author of Our Bravery Brought Justice. The day will also feature a Participation Review with the Children’s Commissioner for Wales, Roccio Cifuentes, alongside live music to create space for reflection and connection.
