Young Wales is recruiting young people to join its boards and groups. We have a range of opportunities for young people to get involved in. Young Wales is about listening to young people and hearing their voices. We support young people to have a say on issues that might affect their lives. Young Wales is committed to represent the diversity of young people in Wales and welcomes applications from all young people to get involved.

Young Wales Project Board The Board works to provide advice and scrutiny on Young Wales and all its strands of work from a young person’s perspective. Age 11 to 18 Meeting on Saturdays 4 times per year (online or in person) Membership lasts for 2 years Members can sign up for an additional year as a peer mentor
Education and Social Justice Special Interest Group The Group works to provide advice and feedback to Welsh Government Ministers and Officials on education and social justice policies and legislation. Age 11 to 18 Meeting on Wednesday evenings 10 times per year (online or in person) Membership lasts for 1 year and can be renewed annually
Health and Social Services Special Interest Group The Group works to provide advice and feedback to Welsh Government Ministers and Officials on health and social services policies and legislation. Age 11 to 18 Meeting on Wednesday evenings 6 times per year (online or in person) Membership lasts for 1 year and can be renewed annually
Climate Change and Rural Affairs Special Interest Group The Group works to provide advice and feedback to Welsh Government Ministers and Officials on climate change and rural affairs policies and legislation. Age 11 to 18 Meeting on Wednesday evenings 6 times per year (online or in person) Membership lasts for 1 year and can be renewed annually
National Youth Stakeholders Group The Group is an all Wales youth led reference group. They address mental health issues and review mental health and wellbeing initiatives by the Welsh Government and other organisations across Wales. Age 14 to 25 Meeting on Saturdays 12 times per year (online or in person) Membership lasts for 2 years and can be renewed annually
