Are you aged 13-17 and willing to share your views about what’s positive and negative about being online? Are you passionate about making the online world a better place? If so, come and join our youth group!

The Welsh Government set up the Keeping Safe Online Youth Group to hear directly from young people about their experiences using the internet. The group considers current and emerging topics and issues and provides insights about what we can do to help keep children and young people safe online.

We’re looking for young people from all backgrounds across Wales. You don’t need any previous experience or specialist knowledge, just to be keen to voice your opinion on topics such as influencers, AI, social media and how these can affect your wellbeing.

Online safety is a hot topic attracting global interest and we are offering you a unique opportunity to be at the heart of the conversation.

The first project is looking at AI and recent technology developments from a young person’s perspective. You will have the opportunity to shape and participate in a national event taking place on Safer Internet Day 2024.

The group meets during the academic year and any travel or accommodation costs can be covered.
