Briefing Paper: Renewed Call for a Child Poverty Delivery Plan

In October 2016 to mark UN International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, the End Child Poverty Network Cymru (ECPN) issued 3 high level calls of the Welsh Government to intensify its effort and maximise the extent of its available resources to tackle child poverty in Wales.

3 years on, we remain deeply concerned that levels of child poverty in Wales are rising, and predicted to sharply increase in the near future, with many more children, young people and their families struggling to meet basic everyday costs and needs.

As the 2020 milestone is fast approaching, we are reaffirming one of our 3 calls first put forward in 2016.
