This section provides information about how legislation affecting children and young people in Wales is developed in Westminster.
The UK Parliament passes a variety of Acts every year that affect Wales.
Members of Parliament and Peers
The House of Commons is made up of 659 Members or MPs of which 40 represent constituencies in Wales.
The Office of the Secretary of State for Wales, sometimes referred to as the Wales Office, was set up in July 1999, to liaise between the National Assembly for Wales and Westminster.
The Welsh Affairs Committee is a cross party select committee appointed to examine the expenditure, administration and policy of the Office of the Secretary of State for Wales, including its relationship with the National Assembly for Wales.
