The Right Way Education Survey 2018


The Children’s Commissioner for Wales has produced a nationwide survey measuring how far children and young people in Wales are experiencing the five principles of a childrne’s rights approach in their education.

The survey looked at how children were experiencing the five principles of a children’s rights approach, as set out by the Commissioner in The Right Way: A Children’s Rights Approach for Education in Wales.

391 teachers and 6392 children and young people took part in the survey. 75% of children had heard of children’s rights, while 65% thought that their parents had heard of children’s rights. 76% of teachers said that they would like more training on children’s rights.
