The National Assembly for Wales Research service has published the second in a series of briefings providing a quick guide to early childhood education and care (ECEC).

The guide was written by Dr. David Dallimore, Bangor University School of Health Sciences, under the NAfW Academic Fellowship Scheme.

The publication examines what high quality ECEC is, how it is arranged and how this compares with the current situation in Wales.

The first in the series of briefings, provided an introduction to ECEC in Wales and in general.
