18.03.19
The Constitutional and Legislative Affairs Committee of the National Assembly for Wales is undertaking a consultation on the general principles of the Senedd and Elections (Wales) Bill.
The Bill aims to rename the National Assembly for Wales to the Senedd and lower the voting age in National Assembly elections to 16, in addition to other reforms.
The consultation will consider the Bill’s general principles, any potential barriers to its implementation, potential unintended consequences, and matters relating to the competence of the National Assembly, including compatibility with the European Convention on Human Rights.
There is more information available on the National Assembly for Wales’s website, including information on how to respond to the consultation.
The consultation will close on the 12 April 2019.
