UNCRC 30th Birthday
Children in Wales is working with the following key partners to celebrate 30 years of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC):
- Children’s Commissioner for Wales
- Welsh Government
- The Wales Observatory on the Human Rights of Children
- UNICEF UK
Together, we are committed to supporting, promoting and applying Children’s Rights in Wales. We will continue to celebrate the 30th birthday until the end of December 2020.
How can you join in the celebrations and show support?
- Follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and share our content
- Share Children’s Rights Wales messages on your own social media channels and encourage others to do the same
- Film a short video message wishing Children’s Rights a “Happy 30th Birthday” and post on your social media channels using #ChildrensRightsWales
- Add the campaign frame to your Facebook profile picture: search Children’s Rights Wales on Facebook
- Download our toolkit to help support children and young people in schools to understand their rights, know how they can participate and how they can be heard
Following the birthday event that was held on 20 November 2019, some parts of the event were live streamed, and videos of the event are available on the Children’s Rights Wales Facebook page.
