Getting More Involved in Social Care
Children in Wales are currently developing an all Wales project funded by Welsh Government, working with LAC, care leavers and the professionals who support them. This is a partnership project with young people and professionals to develop a series of good practice guides to better inform young people and the professionals that are working directly with them. The initial focus has been around health and well-being and consultation with young people has started that will shape the development of the work.
With the implementation of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act, it’s a crucial time to consider the impact of this and share best practice to ensure children’s rights under the UNCRC are upheld.
If you would like to know more about the project, or get involved with our work, please contact Emma Sullivan (Development Officer) on Emma.Sullivan@childreninwales.org.uk or phone 029 2034 2434.
