Bullying and disability hate crime – Forum theatre for young people, 15/11/16 [W]

Young Wales is hosting a free forum theatre workshop for young people on 19 November 2016.  The production, called ‘Real Human Being’ focuses on bullying and disability hate crime, including the role of the by-stander. The workshop is taking place to coincide with national anti-bullying week.

Young Wales, the participation hub at Children in Wales, is working in partnership with Taking Flight Theatre Company who will be performing the drama, and Atradius UK who are sponsoring the day.

Sarah Thomas, Development Officer for Young Wales said: “Bullying is one of the top issues issues of concern raised by young people in Wales. This forum theatre workshop is a fantastic way to help young people learn how to deal with negative behaviour and support how to help others who may be victims of bullying.”

Sarah went on to say, “We are very grateful to Atradius UK for sponsoring this event, without their support we would not have been in a position to offer this opportunity to as many young people.”

The aim of Young Wales is to provide opportunities to raise issues that matter to them and to ensure their views and opinions are heard by Welsh Government.
