Wales launches Wales Safeguarding procedures
To mark the start of National Safeguarding Week last week, the Welsh Government launched the Wales Safeguarding Procedures.
The procedures set out what to do if anyone working with children or adults suspect that an individual is experiencing, or at risk, of abuse, neglect or other harm.
The procedures are available online in their entirety from the safeguarding.wales website, but they are also being released as an app for both android phones and iphones.
Speaking about the launch, Deputy Minister for Health and Social Services, Julie Morgan AM, said “The launch of these procedures is a big step forward and reaffirms our commitment to promoting the right for both children and adults at risk in Wales to be safe.”
