The coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) presents unprecedented challenges to vulnerable families and is placing increasing pressure on children's services. The document provides guidance on the continued provision of support to vulnerable, at risk and care experienced children, during this period. The guidance is designed to for all those involved in:

  • promoting the well-being of vulnerable children, including those who already have a care and support plan
  • safeguarding children at risk including those who already have a care, support and protection plan
  • the assessment and planning of care and support for care experienced children
