Volunteer Role: Young Resource Co-Producer

Children in Wales is the national umbrella body for organisations and individuals  who work with children, young people and their families in Wales.  Young Wales is a Children in Wales initiative funded by Welsh Government.  We are about listening to young people and empowering their voices. Our work is built on the ideas of sharing, informing and changing policy and practice. 

Purpose of the role
We are looking for young volunteers (11-25 years old) to lead and co-produce a resource that will be developed into an exhibition for National Museum Wales which documents Children’s Rights in Wales.  

Location
Blended: Online meetings and at the Children in Wales Office in Cardiff.

Hours and Commitment 

• To attend a volunteer induction and training on Children’s Rights in Wales.
• To participate in 8 meetings across the project.

Main Tasks

• To meet with your team to design and develop activity resource packs.
• To decide how the resource should be shared across Wales.
• To work with National Museum Wales staff to curate the final piece ready for it to be exhibited. 

Requirements

• The ability to work in a team.
• To regularly attend meetings.
• Good communication skills.
