In the lead up to Safer Internet Day on the 9th February 2021, Children in Wales will be hosting it’s second FREE networking event.
Mike Mainwaring, one of our highly experienced trainers with extensive experience in children’s rights and participation, will be delivering a presentation focusing on how children and young people’s internet use may impact upon children’s rights. Mike will speak in detail about a handful of key articles from the UNCRC discussing, from a children’s rights perspective, the opportunities and threats the internet poses to children and young people.
Following the presentation there will be an opportunity for discussion and networking in smaller groups.
The event is FREE and spaces will be offered on a first come, first serve basis.
Part of the event will be recorded so if you cannot attend, or are not successful in reserving a place, we will upload the presentation onto our website after the event.
Please note that by signing up for this event you agree for your name, organisation and email address to be shared with other delegates after the event.
