Children in Wales is a joint sponsor in the Reach the Heights project which supports young people to gain skills for learning and employment through work experience and community-based opportunities.
We have developed a number of training courses, funded through the European Social Fund (ESF) Convergence Programme 2007-13, and are pleased to offer FREE places to practitioners who work solely or predominantly in the Convergence region for West Wales and the Valleys (ie, Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire, Gwynedd, Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, Swansea, Neath Port Talbot, Bridgend, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Merthyr Tydfil, Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Torfaen). Similar courses may be available for those working in other areas of Wales, therefore, please contact Children in Wales for further details on 029 2034 2434.
Please note that Children in Wales may ask for evidence that you work in the Convergence region, particularly if you work Wales-wide.
Making a Booking
Registration is on a first come first served basis and places are limited, so early booking is advisable. Only one member of staff per organisation may attend. To avoid disappointment on the day, please ensure that you receive confirmation of your place before setting out for the venue, and bring a copy of your confirmation email with you. Children in Wales may wish to contact you in the future to further evaluate the impact of the course that you have attended.
