National Child Poverty Conference report

Our National Child Poverty Conference, From Poverty to Prosperity – Everyone’s Business, which was held in Cardiff in June 2017.  Working with, and alongside, our member organisations and the steering group of the End Child Poverty Network Cymru, our event attracted over 120 professionals and young people, and generated much interest and debate, as well as considerable attention amongst the media in Wales.

Child and Family Poverty in Wales: Results from the Child and Family Survey 2016

Children in Wales has produced a report following our annual survey looking at what changes have taken place since our report on family poverty in 2014, Child and Family Poverty in Wales: A snapshot of key issues raised by families. The report also details additional issues which have affected households since the original survey.

Child and Family Poverty in Wales: Results from the Child and Family Survey 2015

This report provides a summary of responses received to our survey on child and family poverty. The survey followed up our report, Child and Family Poverty in Wales: A snapshot of key issues raised by families published in 2014, which identified the most common poverty related issues being raised with Assembly Members, Members of Parliament, and Citizens Advice Bureaux.

Cymru Ifanc – Young Wales: Update 3

Young Wales will be launched next 27 March. Young people have already shared their local issues, and the day will bring together young people from all over Wales to discuss these, and to finalise their national priorities. They will then meet with people from the Welsh Government to reveal their choices.

UK Alliance for Investing in Children – Breaking the Cycle of Disadvantage

This report outlines the principle legislation, policies and programmes for tackling child poverty  in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland, in light of the poverty target within the Europe 2020 framework and the European Commission (EC) Recommendation on Investing in Children: Breaking the Cycle of Disadvantage. It was produced as part of the UK Alliance for Investing in Children project.
