Health, Wellbeing and Local Government Committee, 19/03/09 [W]

In its meeting of 19 March 2009, the Health, Wellbeing and Local Government Committee heard evidence from the Deputy Minister for Social Services as part of its inquiry into CAFCASS Cymru.

During discussions, the Deputy Minister said that she believes that CAFCASS Cymru’s work has been successfully integrated into the Welsh Assembly Government, and that the Assembly Government believes that it is a child’s fundamental right to stay in contact with both parents when it is safe for that child to do so and all policy developments underpin this.

For full details, please read the Committee transcript.
