Flexible Working Rights Extended, 15/05/08 [W/E/NI/S]

Business Secretary John Hutton has accepted the recommendation of the government’s independent review to extend the right to request flexible working to parents of children up to age 16.

This means that an extra 4.5 million parents in Britain will gain the right to request flexible working.

The government will now consult on implementing the proposals.

Further information is available from the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform’s press release.
