A petition has been presented to the National Assembly for Wales, calling on the Welsh Government to increase funding for specialist services helping children and young people with eating disorders. It asks that services for children and young people receive the same level of funding as adult services.
The campaign has been run by Helen Missen, whose daughter was diagnosed with anorexia. She believes her daughter would have benefited by more tailored services during her illness.
The petition, which was signed by 246 people, will now be considered by the Petitions Committee of the National Assembly.
