Family Justice System Review Announced, 20/01/10 [W/E]

A wide-ranging review of the family justice system has been announced by the Welsh Assembly Government, Ministry of Justice and Department for Children Schools and Families.

The Review Panel, made up of independent and Government representatives from England and Wales, will look at the best methods for avoiding confrontational court hearings, and encouraging the use of mediation to deliver fairer and less acrimonious settlements that place the needs and interests of children at the heart of the system.

Further information is available on the Welsh Assembly Government website.
