New Service for Victims, 27/01/10 [E/W]

Justice Secretary, Jack Straw, has provided details of the £8 m National Victims’ Service which is to be rolled out across England and Wales from 1 April. The service is intended to guarantee all victims of crime more dedicated support.  The first phase of the service begins in March and will help families bereaved by murder or manslaughter, providing intensive support, care and attention, tailored to their individual needs.
