Healthy Eating in Schools Measure passed, 09/07/09 [W]

The Healthy Eating in Schools Measure has been passed by the National Assembly for Wales.

The Measure, introduced by Jenny Randerson AM, aims to ensure that healthy eating is promoted and support in schools across Wales.

It also imposes a duty on schools and local education authorities to encourage the take up of school meals and to promote the take-up of free school meals amongst those eligible.

Further information on the Measure is available on the National Assembly for Wales’ website.
