New name for Rainer Crime Concern, 15/12/08 [W/E]

Youth charity Rainer Crime Concern has relaunched as Catch22.

The charity was formed from a merger between youth organisations Rainer and Crime Concern in July 2008.

The new charity warns there are a half a million young people trapped in no-win situations, for example:

  • Young people who have been expelled from school are stuck without qualifications or any way of getting on in life
  • Young people think they can protect themselves by carrying a knife, but instead put themselves at greater risk
  • Young people who old enough to leave care but too young to cope alone are often faced with going into an unsafe B&B or returning to an abusive home

Further information is available on the Catch22 website.
