Domestic violence - six new special courts announced, 20/10/08 [W/E]

Victims of domestic violence will receive extra help and support from six new Specialist Domestic Violence Courts across the UK. In Wales, a new court will be established in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan.

These courts work by bringing together police, prosecutors, court staff, the probation service and specialist support services so that more offenders are brought to justice.

Further information is available on the Ministry of Justice website.
