Proposed Learner Travel (Wales) Measure

Progress of the Measure on learner travel.

The purpose of the Measure is to make provision about the travel of persons receiving primary, secondary or further education or training to and from schools or other places where they receive it; and for connected purposes.

  • 28/09/07 Consultation closed
  • 21/11/07 Enterprise and Learning Committee report laid
  • 15/04/08 Proposed Measure introduced
  • 29/04/08 Assembly agreed general principles of the proposed Measure
  • 14/05/08 Committee established
  • The Committee met on 19/06/08 and 03/07/08 to consider amendments to the proposed Measure.
  • 04/07/08 'Stage 3' consideration began
  • 30/09/08 Amendments to the proposed Measure considered in Plenary. Measure passed by the Assembly
  • 10/12/08 Royal approval received
