Proposed Carers Strategies (Wales) Measure

Progress of the proposed Assembly Measure on Carers Strategies.

The purpose of this Measure is to enable the National Assembly to legislate to introduce a new requirement on the NHS and Local Authorities in Wales to work in partnership to prepare, publish and implement a joint strategy in relation to carers. The strategy will provide for the provision of information and advice to carers and for the effective involvement of the relevant authorities with carers when making decisions about the provision of services to or for carers or the person cared for.
