Safety on Learner Transport (Wales) Measure 2011
On the 10 May, the Safety on Learner Transport (Wales) Measure 2001 received Royal Assent. The Measure is intended to improve the quality of transport to and from school, and make it more safe.
Housing (Wales) Measure 2011
On the 10 May 2011, the Housing Measure (Wales) was granted Royal Assent. The Measure is intended support the effective delivery of affordable housing in Wales.
Local Government (Wales) Measure 2011
On the 10 May, The Local Government (Wales) Measure 2011 received Royal Assent. The Measure introduces changes intended to strengthen the structures and working of local government in Wales at all levels and to ensure that local councils reach out to and engage with all sectors of the communities they serve.
Education (Wales) Measure 2011
On the 10 May 2011, the Education Measure 2011 was granted Royal Assent. The Measure puts in place powers and duties to make collaboration commonplace in the education system, to improve school governance and to simplify the planning of school places in Wales.
Domestic Fire Safety (Wales) Measure 2011
On 7 April 2011, The Domestic Fire Safety (Wales) Measure received Royal Assent. The Measure requires the provision of automatic fire suppression systems in new residential premises in Wales.
Rights of Children and Young Persons (Wales) Measure 2011
On the 16 March 2011 Rights of Children and Young Persons (Wales) Measure received Royal Assent. The Measure places a duty on Welsh Ministers to have due regard to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), and makes a number of other provisions relating to children’s rights in Wales.
