Racial and Religious Hatred Act 2006, 30/10/07 [W/E]

The Racial and Religious Hatred Act 2006 gained Royal Assent on 1st October.

The Act outlaws the use of threatening words or behaviour intended to incite hatred against groups of people because of their faith. The Act requires that the prosecution must prove the intention to stir up religious hatred.
