Homelessness, July to September 2009, 13/01/10 [W]

The latest National Statistics on Homelessness produced by the Welsh Assembly Government.

The key points from the latest release include:

  • In general the number of households accepted as homeless have fallen since the end of 2003-04, with 1,475 households accepted as homeless during July to September 2009. This is a fall of 3 per cent on the same period last year.
  • The number of families with children in Bed and Breakfast accommodation continues to fall accounting for only 3 per cent of all households in B&B accommodation by the end of September 2009. This compares with 15 per cent at the end of September 2008
