Education Maintenance Allowances Awarded in Wales: Update at end of December 2009, 13/01/10 [W]

The latest statistics on Education Maintenance Allowances (EMAs) produced by the Student Loans Company.

The key points from the latest release are:

  • As at 31 December 2009, a total of 37,520 EMA Wales applications had been received for the academic year 2009/10.
  • 34,370 (92 per cent) applications had been approved; 750 (2 per cent) had been rejected; 2,150 (6 per cent) applications were incomplete.
