The key points from the latest release are:

The number of dentists employed by the Community Dental Service (CDS) in Wales is relatively few compared to the number of dentists in the General Dental Service accounting for around 1 in 11of all dentists in 2007-08.
During 2007-08, the Community Dental Service in Wales saw over 67,000 people (first contacts).
Children aged 5-15 accounted for over half of first contacts.
Over 20,000 children were screened by the CDS in Wales during 2007-08, representing 82 per cent of the total people screened.
