Road Casualties in Wales, Quarter 2 2008 (provisional), 07/11/08 [W]

The latest National Statistics on ‘Road Casualties in Wales: Quarterly Provisional Estimates 2nd Quarter 2008,’ produced by the Welsh Assembly Government.

The key points from this release are:

  • 26 road casualties were reported as killed
  • 305 were reported as seriously injured, and
  • 2,205 as slightly injured
  • The number of total KSI casualties over this period, at 1,404 people, was 1 per cent higher than the previous 12 month period and 30 per cent lower than the average for 1994-98.
  • The number of child KSI casualties over this period, at 121 children, was 28 per cent lower than the previous 12 month period and 58 per cent lower than the average for 1994-98.
