Annual Population Survey Household Data, 2004 to 2007, 20/10/08 [W]

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) recently released household datasets from Annual Population Survey for the first time. These datasets cover the years 2004 to 2007 and enable analyses to be carried out at a Local Authority level.

The main analyses that can now be carried out at this level are for people in workless households, children in workless households, lone parents and housing tenure.

The main results from the ONS statistics show that, in 2007, 18.5 per cent of all working age households in Wales were workless.  This compares with 15.6 per cent of all working age households in the United Kingdom.

Further information is available from the Statistics for Wales website.
