Healthcare Inspectorate Wales, Wales’s independent healthcare watchdog, has now published its annual report for 2010-2011.
HIW’s role is to provide assurance to patients and the public that healthcare services in Wales are safe and of good quality. This involves undertaking investigations and inspections into the quality of healthcare provided by the NHS and independent healthcare bodies.
The report reviews the work undertaken over the last year and describes the plans going forward.
