National Assembly for Wales (Legislative Competence) (Transport) Order 2010 Committee Report, 02/02/10 [W]

The National Assembly for Wales’ Legislation Committee No 3 has published its report on the National Assembly for Wales (Legislative Competence) (Transport) Order 2010.

The Committee supports in principle that legislative competence in this area should be conferred to the National Assembly for Wales. The Committee’s report says that the National Assembly should be able to require by law (Assembly Measure) that local authorities only use home to school transport which conforms to the highest safety standards.

The report is available to download from the Committee’s website.
