Tackling Child Poverty and Disadvantage in Schools, Estyn, January 2010 [W]

Estyn has published this report looking at how schools are tackling child poverty and disadvantage. It uses evidence from Estyn reports on the RAISE (Raise Attainment and Individual Standards in Education) initiative as well as evidence from inspection reports on schools and local authorities. It identifies examples of effective practice and makes suggestions about further action that might be taken to improve the performance of disadvantaged pupils.

The report can be downloaded from Estyn’s website.
