Education for sustainable development and global citizenship in adult community-based learning and youth work in Wales, 19/08/08 [W]

Estyn, the education and training inspectorate for Wales, has published a report on how Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship (ESDGC) is being delivered by adult community-based learning providers and youth workers in Wales.

Whilst nearly all providers involve learners in elements of sustainable development and global citizenship, inspectors found that many providers do not have a clear and consistent understanding of the definition or the purpose of ESDGC, or of the inter-relationship between sustainable development and global citizenship.

The report can be downloaded from the Estyn website.
