A Happy Talent - Disabled children and young people's access to play in Wales 2007: a review of local authority strategies, 13/08/08 [W]

The Children’s Commissioner for Wales has published a report looking at disabled children and young people’s opportunity to play.

The report looks at the play strategies of each local authority in Wales to see how they have considered the needs of disabled children. Only one out of 22 local authorities in Wales consulted disabled children and young people as part of their play strategies and more than half of all local authorities failed to state an intention to include disabled children and young people in their play strategy.

The report, along with a children and young people’s version, can be downloaded from the Children’s Commissioner’s website.
