International Review of Parental Leave Policies - 2008 edition, 04/08/08 [W/E/NI/S]

The Department for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform has published the 2008 edition of the international review of parental leave policies and research.

The report includes:

  • articles on: leave policies in central and eastern Europe (including debates about the length of leave for women);  on workplace support for parents; and fathers' use of leave;
  • a cross-national overview of leave policies, recent policy developments and take-up of leave by mothers and fathers;
  • detailed information on leave policies, recent and proposed developments, take-up of leave and publications about leave from 25 countries.
