The Welsh Assembly Government is making available a non recurring specific grant payment of £0.5 million to local authorities to meet the burdens of discharging their duties under the Children and Young Persons Act 2008.

Future funding will form part of the local government Revenue Support Grant settlement from 2010/11 onwards.
