Written Statement: Review of the use of restraint in juvenile secure settings, 20/03/08 [W/E]

Justice Minister David Hanson has made a written ministerial statement on the review of the use of restraint in juvenile secure settings.

It states that the Government will delay their response to the independent review of restraint in juvenile secure settings until 20 June so that they can fully take into account emerging findings from research that the National Children’s Bureau is conducting into restraint in secure children’s homes.

The statement can be downloaded from the Ministry of Justice website.
