The Minister for Health and Social Services, Edwina Hart, has issued a statement on alcohol pricing policy.
The statement explains that the Assembly Government has written on a number of occasions to the UK Government to consider the introduction of minimum pricing for alcohol. The Minister says that if they do not see the action they want at a UK level soon, then the Assembly Government will consider seeking the powers to enact its own legislation.
