Statement on the Review of Education 8-14 in Wales, 08/12/09 [W]

The Minister for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills has issued a written statement on the Review of Education 8-14 in Wales.

A Task and Finish Group, chaired by Professor David Egan, started work in March 2009 and has now launched a first stage report which recommends that the years from 8 to14 should be designated as a discrete Phase for education, underpinned by a distinct and coherent educational philosophy.

The full statement is available on the Welsh Assembly Government website.
